The Nokia 9300 is a Nokia Series 80 Symbian Smartphone. It is used as a normal though bulky mobile phone in closed mode, when it is flipped open it can be used like a very small notebook computer with a half-SVGA screen. The phone also has speakerphone functionally, which is activated automatically when the phone is flipped open.
The Nokia 9300 was released shortly after the Nokia 9500 Communicator, and differs from it in some ways:
* No digital camera
* In most models, no Wifi
* Smaller overall: Smaller keyboard (”Thumbboard”), 970 mA battery, and screen (both 800×200x16).
* Silver color
The smaller phone was probably released because the 9500 and other Communicators were traditionally nicknamed “The Brick” and the size put a lot of people off from buying them. Although very similar to the 9500 Communicator, this less expensive model was not officially marketed under the Communicator name by Nokia.
In the United States, the 9300b is sold through Cingular’s Business division.
The Nokia 9300i is an updated version with WiFi capability

Nokia E90 Communicator is a 3G smartphone made by Nokia and the latest model of the Communicator series. It was announced in February 2007 at the 3GSM show in Barcelona.
The first Nokia E90 unit was sold in an auction in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 17, 2007 for Rp. 45,000,000 (5,000 US$). Indonesia being one of the largest market share for Nokia’s communicator series is cited as a reason for the unit’s first launch location.
E90 starts the fifth generation of Nokia’s communicators, and also introduces a new platform to Nokia’s communicator line, Series 60 v3. Previous communicators have been based on either GeOS or Series 80. E90 is also the first Nokia communicator to have UMTS/HSDPA connectivity and integrated GPS. It features OSGi and eRCP, Eclipse RCP for embedded systems.
Early user-feedback and reviews highlighted a defect in the microphone of Nokia E90. According to a review on consumer review website MouthShut.com, the Nokia E90 was recalled from dealers as a result of the problem. This resulted in delivery delays worldwide. Nokia initially denied the existence of the defect, but it was later acknowledged by Nokia Europe, and addressed in the Q3 earnings report released on October, 18, 2007, claiming the issue has now been fully resolved. Early phones sold in Belgium offered a choice of English, Nederlands or Romanian but not French language.
Firmware version 7.40.1.2, released in late October 2007, added support for A-GPS, intended to enhance GPS performance in poor signal conditions, such as in city streets overshadowed by buildings. This version also upgraded the Maps application. As of May 2008, the most recent firmware version is 210.34.75, and the newest Maps version 2.0

The Nokia E61 is a smartphone from the Eseries range, a Series 60 Third Edition device with a QWERTY keyboard targeting business users in the European market. As of Q4 2006 Cingular and Rogers Wireless have deployed a similar yet restricted version designated the Nokia E62 in the North American and Brazilian markets. This model is substantially similar but without an 802.11 WiFi chipset or W-CDMA (UMTS) 3G support.
On 12 February 2007 Nokia announced the E61i as a follow up product.The built-in SIP VoIP client works fine with any SIP provider. The device can connect to an IP PABX, for example on an office network. This allows the device to assume the role of an extension on a company phone system. As of early Q4 2006, the default client included with the phone does not have the ability to perform NAT traversal, and is therefore limited to local area network connectivity. As of firmware revision 3.0633.09.04, Nokia has added both STUN and persistent TCP/IP for NAT/Firewall traversal.Older versions of the phone can be upgraded to the latest version for free using the Nokia Software Updater which is available for free from the Nokia website.
